November/December 2015

For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. —Ephesians 3:14

The Apostle’s prayer is for the church to know who they are in Christ and how to act as His sons. It has been our privilege as we walk through the book of Ephesians these last few months! Capital City Baptist Church has continued to grow. For the last two weeks, our attendance has been up over 80 people; and the church folks are excited about our growth!

Melissa heard about our school and began asking questions. When she found out that the school is a ministry of the church, she asked if she could attend. We obviously were happy to have her join us for services, and then she got saved! Her husband faithfully drives his truck, bringing her to church and drops her off. A few hours later, he comes back and picks her up. Pray with us that he would join her for services and that the Gospel would work in his heart.

Missionary Pilot Tyler Nikkel received his PNG Pilot’s License a few weeks ago, and we have begun doing his In-Country-Under-Supervision flying. He has to do 50 hours total, during which I observe from the “co-pilot” seat. I can’t begin to express my nervousness as I have to keep my hands off the controls. Tyler has done very well in learning the PNG Aviation system, and he will make a great pilot for the TTMK team of missionaries.

Please pray with us for the school enrollment. We have six students enrolled currently, and we need another 16 students in order to be self-sustaining. We are, however, amazed at what God has done in preparing things for the coming school year which  starts the first week of February.

Thank you for your faithful support!

Because He lives,

Matt, Becky, and the girls
